Caloundra, a resort on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, provided the waves and rocks. The comic-strip pictorial with sailors and costumed characters is a homage to Windsor McCay and ‘Little Nemo’.
The caption is mine.
The yellow duck is from the ensuite shower at home. The strip of blue-green stones are from the garden, as are the flowers. I ate the doughnut!
And ‘The Girls’, well they’re both plastic figurines, circa 1950’s American advertising.
I got to do their hair, make-up and wardrobe, every day, before I started painting. No, just joking, they did it themselves!
