About This Project

Is this work puzzling, perplexing, enigmatic, ambiguous, perhaps labyrinthine or just plain baffling?
For myself, having created it it’s all of those feelings. Because, truth be told, my paintings simply evolve. They take on a life of their own.
There’s always a trigger, a starting point before a trajectory when everything goes ballistic! This one, this escapade began with the ape-like, human character.
I did my research, decided to use him which, of course, prompted my questioning – where did it all begin? When will it all end? What’s humanity’s place in the universe? What’s life all about?
Then you enter the quirky quagmire of uncertainty, doubt and controversy which leaves, especially me, mystified and uneasy! To add further confusion I’ve bestowed this one with the cryptic title – ‘A Momentary Lapse Of Concentration.’
What you see is what you get! Leaving you abandoned, bamboozled and befuddled.
What’s life all about? Your guess is as good as mine!
