About This Project

I hope this one is kinda self-explanatory.
I mean all you need is coloured make-up, lipstick, eyeliner, or any face-painting kit that’ll make marks on skin and, hey presto, you’ve got this one sorted!
The big surprise was that I had to complete each individual portrait, ten in total, with hands covering faces before I could add the eyes, mouths and facial expressions. Because just like art imitating life I needed the make-up, lipstick and lines to follow the contours of the fingers and hands.
And no I don’t know who these people are. How could I they’ve all got their hands in front of their faces!
I’ve called it – Mistaken Identity – and even thought about adding in brackets, (ten people I don’t know).
I think it’s a very ‘me’ painting!
